Frequently Asked Questions

Gainesville Care Center

Q: How much do pregnancy or STD tests cost?
A: All of the tests at the Care Center are at no cost to you.

Q: Do I need to make an appointment to meet with a client assistant, a nurse, or for any other reason?
A: It is better to make an appointment; however, we do take walk-ins, though you may have to wait. Those with appointments are served first. All STD tests require appointments in order for us to schedule our nurses accordingly.

Q: When are you open?
A: We schedule appointments from 9 am until 3:30 pm., Monday through Thursday. We will schedule an appointment as late as 3:45 pm if needed. We have a 24-hour hotline you can access at 770-535-1245.

Q: Where is the Gainesville Care Center located?
A: We are conveniently located in downtown Gainesville, just behind the main post office, at 434 Green Street Place, Gainesville 30501

Q: How can I support the Care Center?
A: Volunteer opportunities are always available. Visit our Local Support page for more information. We also accept monetary contributions and donations of new or slightly used baby clothing and items.

Q: How has the Gainesville Care Center helped area youth?
A: We are celebrating our 20th anniversary as the pregnancy resource for the city of Gainesville and Hall County. However, we will see anyone who comes to us. For the last twenty years we have dedicated our services to men and women in our community and beyond. As we continue to offer ultrasounds, pregnancy and STD testing, we also offer hope and life to despairing and isolated hearts. We are excited about sharing the purity message with today's youth, by taking the message to them in both Health and Life Skills Classes in the public and private schools. Contact us for further information.
